Membership Meeting to focus on Community College
Kris Green, the Chief Marketing and Institutional Officer at Kansas City, Kansas,
Community College, will be the featured speaker at noon Wednesday, July 19 at
the Membership Meeting of Business West in the Board Room of The Dotte Spot
Bar and Grill , 8123 Parallel Pkwy. Her presentation will tell of the school’s
centennial history, current projects and a look into the future. She has more than
25 years of experience working in higher education at the University of Missouri,
Benedictine College and Missouri Western University. She is married and has five
adult children. Those attending will be able to order off the Dotte Spot menu.
BPU tells of water quality
The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities recently received its 2023 Water Quality
Report. The water once again met or surpassed all standards for safe and high-
quality water. BPU delivers water using more than 1,000 miles of lines.
Shepherd’s Center looks to future
The Shepherd’s Center of Kansas City will hold a special session of its Adventures
in Learning program from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, July 21 at Victory Hills
Baptist Church, 2010 N. 66 th Ter. The focus will be on the organization’s future.
