State budget cuts force layoffs for mental health services
Wyandot Inc, the umbrella organization for mental health programs, recently eliminated 26 positions.? Six of the positions were vacant; only 14 persons lost their jobs. Randy Callstrom, the President of Wyandot Inc., said the reduction in staff was a result of two state policy changes, which amounted to more than $1 million in a loss of revenue.
